The Gaelic word "Bunnahabhain" means "mouth of the river". Bunnahabhain was founded in 1881 by the Greenless brothers and is the northernmost distillery on the island of Islay. The Bunnahabhain whiskeys are slightly smoky Islay malts with many salty, maritime notes. There is a wide range of distillery bottlings, ranging from 12-year-olds to 46-year-olds. Including some bottlings without age, which have a special taste.
