The roots of the LANTENHAMMER distillery lie in the Miesbacherstrasse in Schliersee. There, Amalie and Josef Lantenhammer founded their own Enzian distillery in 1928. After the distillery had to be closed at the beginning of the Second World War, Josef Lantenhammer invested 1948 directly the first German Mark of the currency reform again in the reestablishment of the enterprise. At that time, 40 marks laid the foundation for an intergenerational passion for high quality, precious distillates.
