It is one of the few Habanos brands not born in the Cuban capital Havana. Instead, his founder Agustin Quintero and his four brothers opened a shop in the south coast town of Cienfuego known as the "Pearl of the South". All tobaccos selected for Quintero's filler blend are from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta zones.
